Westland WS-61 Sea King je britský víceúčelový vrtulník vyvinutý v 60. letech 20. století firmou Westland na základě licence amerického typu Sikorsky S-61 Sea King. S ním má společnou konstrukci draku a hlavice rotoru. Dalšími prvky, například konstrukcí rotorových listů, použitými motory Rolls-Royce Gnome,avionikou a jiným palubním elektronickým vybavením se od něj podstatně odlišuje.
Sikorsky SH-3 Sea King (tovární označení S-61, mořský král) je americký dvoumotorový víceúčelový vrtulník určený k plnění různých úkolů na moři, zejména v boji proti nepřátelským ponorkám. První prototyp stroje vzlétl 11. března 1959, první dodávky stroje pro americké námořnictvo se uskutečnily roku 1961. Helikoptéra se vyráběla v mnoha verzích a byla dodávána do různých zemí světa.
The Sikorsky S-61R is a twin-engine helicopter used in transport or search and rescue roles. A developed version of the S-61/SH-3 Sea King, the S-61R was also built under license by Agusta as the AS-61R. The S-61R served in the United States Air Force as the CH-3C/E Sea King and the HH-3E Jolly Green Giant, and with the United States Coast Guard as the HH-3F „Pelican“.
The Westland WS-61 Sea King is a British licence-built version of the American Sikorsky S-61 helicopter of the same name, built by Westland Helicopters.

The Sikorsky SH-3 Sea King (company designation S-61) is an American twin-engined anti-submarine warfare (ASW) helicopter designed and built by Sikorsky Aircraft. A landmark design, it was the world’s first amphibious helicopter and one of the first ASW rotorcraft to use turboshaft engines.
