Magirus-Deutz
Magirus-Deutz was a truck , bus , fire protection , fire truck and military vehicle manufacturer , owned by Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz AG (KHD) and whose origins lie in the Ulm fire brigade Magirus . The trademark of Magirus-Deutz shows the stylized silhouette of the Ulm Minster in combination with an M for Magirus. Brand-typical were air-cooled diesel engines from KHD. After great market success in the 1950s and 1960s Magirus-Deutz came in the 1970s in a crisis that led to the incorporation of the manufacturer in the Iveco Group.
